At The Learning Experience of Astoria we believe that every familys experience starts the moment they walk through our doors. Our team is dedicated to providing a nurturing engaging and supportive environment for children and families alike. Were seeking a warm friendly and highly organized Center Concierge to be the welcoming face of our school and a helping hand throughout the day.
The Center Concierge plays a vital role in creating a welcoming environment for families staff and visitors. This position combines excellent customer service with light administrative and operational support. Youll help create a smooth and welcoming experience for families offer gentle support to children as they arrive and leave and lend a helping hand wherever its needed.
- Greet families children and visitors with warmth and professionalism
- Assist parents with check-in/check-out procedures and general inquiries
- Manage phone calls emails and walk-in questions in a timely helpful manner
- Support daily operations (light clerical tasks tidying shared spaces organizing materials)
- Help ensure the lobby and front desk are clean organized and welcoming
- Provide occasional classroom or event support as needed
- Assist the administrative and teaching staff with small tasks and errands throughout the day
- Previous experience in customer service reception or administrative support (experience in a childcare or school setting is a plus!)
- Friendly approachable and patient demeanor
- Strong organizational and multitasking skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Comfortable interacting with children families and staff
- Basic computer skills (email data entry calendar management)
