The Opportunity:
As a Truck Driver 2 youll operate trucks and special vehicles ranging from 28000 to 60000 GVW ensuring the safe and timely transport of materials and supplies between university buildings. Youll also operate a variety of specialized equipmentincluding recycling balers rotary paper shredders steam treatment systems dollies pallet jacks hydraulic lifts and forkliftsto support efficient material handling and delivery. Your attention to safety and reliability will help keep university operations running smoothly.

Additional Information:
This is a full time (100% FTE) permanent position. This position is overtime eligible.
Monthly Salary: $4428 to $5137 Range 43G (Steps G-M) Successful candidates are typically hired at the beginning of the salary range and receive scheduled salary increment increases in accordance with the applicable Collective Bargaining Agreement.
In accordance with RCW 49.58.110 the above salary reflects the full salary range for this position. Individual placement within the range is based on the candidates current experience education skills and abilities related to the position.

Required Qualifications:
Possession of a valid drivers license AND at least one (1) year experience working as a Truck Driver 1; OR equivalent education/experience.
Must have a Class A or B Commercial Drivers License at the time of hire.
Must have or be able to obtain within six (6) months of hire a forklift certification.
Ability to operate multiple types of vehicles and equipment safely in all weather conditions and working environments.
Ability to work a flexible schedule when necessary.
Ability to work collaboratively across work groups in order to deliver positive outcomes.
Willingness and ability to safely lift materials above 50 pounds.
Preferred Qualifications:
Prior experience of recycling processes and commodities.
Prior experience with hazardous or potentially hazardous materials.
Experience operating Class A or B vehicles with 9-15 speed manual transmissions.
