JOB TITLE: Structural Analysis Engineer 3
LOCATION: Wichita KS
PAY RATE: $80/hour

We are a national aerospace and defense staffing agency seeking highly qualified candidates for a position with a top-tier client.

Job Details:

Qualifying Questions:

Summary:

  • Plan organize and prioritize work based on project deliverables.

  • Perform detailed stress analysis of metallic and composite fuselage components using classical hand methods and Finite Element techniques to support structural design changes.

  • Review and analyze design modifications.

  • Verify fatigue static and damage tolerance loads.

  • Generate stress substantiation reports.

  • Develop and review structural qualification plans in compliance with OEM standards and regulatory requirements.

  • Review and approve vendor drawings stress reports and test reports as needed.

  • Collaborate with design engineers team leads suppliers and technical management to ensure designs meet deliverables and regulatory requirements.

  • Participate in design reviews present stress analysis findings and challenge design solutions when necessary.

  • Compile and present progress reports to communicate deliverable status.

  • Demonstrate a strong work ethic and urgency in meeting project deadlines.

Requirements:

  • ABET-accredited engineering degree required.

  • 3 5 years of experience in Aerospace Stress Engineering.

  • Prior experience using Boeing Commercial analysis methods/tools.

  • Experience with both composite and metallic structures preferred.

  • Previous Boeing experience required; within the last 5 years preferred.

  • Proficiency in static (FE and free-body) fatigue and transient analysis using Nastran Patran and Abaqus.

  • Ability to perform detailed stress analysis using both classical hand calculations and Finite Element methods.

  • Strong knowledge of Engineering Mechanics and Strength of Materials.

  • Proficiency with Microsoft Excel Word PowerPoint and Project.

  • Must be a U.S. Citizen (as defined by ITAR).
