About this position
The Trades Apprentice is valuable part of the Sulphur Housing Authority because of their function of work assisting the maintenance repairman in vacant unit turnover performing a wide variety of unit maintenance and repair tasks with assistance. The Trades Apprentice provides an opportunity to learn the skills required for the Maintenance Repairman 1 position. This is an entry level position. Minimum Qualifications
No experience or training is required.

Job Duties and Other Information
Job Duties:
Assist Repairman 1 or 2 in the following:
- Clean out units including haul furniture wipe all counters and cabinets
- Scrub appliances & fixtures repair/replace if needed
- Repair sheetrock where damaged
- Repair/Install doors windows & floor titles where needed
- Install light fixtures & outlets if needed
- Painting units

Appointment Type:Probational
Career Progression:This position does not participate in a Career Progression Group.
Work Schedule:Work hours are 7am-5pm Monday - Thursday Friday Off.
Compensation:The salary offered will be determined based on qualifications and experience. Benefits are offered.
