Job Duties
Purpose of Position:
To assist the Regional Operational Maintenance Managers (ROMMs) in the maintenance repair and minor construction of all associated buildings and grounds within the assigned ROMMs region.
This position provides the Virginia Army National Guard with safe high quality cost effective and timely building and grounds maintenance. This position will serve as the primary preventative Maintenance & Custodial Technician for the Harrisonburg Readiness Center location.
Minimum Qualifications
Must have documented trade experience in at least one of the following: Carpentry HVAC Plumbing or Electrical;
Must be able to read drawings/blueprints;
A valid Drivers License and an acceptable driving record is required;
Essential physical and mental capabilities in the following: Interpersonal skills memory attention to detail follow directions comprehension calculating reading writing speaking evaluating mathematics organizing and innovation;
Ability to use various ladders/lifts;
Ability to use various custodial and mowing equipment;
This position requires the ability to lift a minimum of 50 pounds.
Additional Considerations
Virginia Herbicide/Pesticide Certification preferred.
