Job Description

The James Benjamin Department of Accounting at Mays Business School Texas A&M University invites applications for one full-time tenure-track position at the rank of Assistant Professor. The position will be a 9-month academic appointment to begin in Fall 2026.

The successful candidate(s) is expected to teach graduate and undergraduate classes conduct scholarly research work with PhD students and provide service to the primary mode of teaching and research is in-person.

ABOUT THE JAMES BENJAMIN DEPARTMENT OF ACCOUNTING: The James Benjamin Department of Accounting perennially ranks as one of the most productive accounting departments in the world for scholarly research (BYU Accounting Rankings). The department has an outstanding group of faculty at all ranks many of whom are serving (or have served) as editors or members of the editorial boards of our fields leading journals and a vibrant PhD program. We offer an integrated program that confers both undergraduate and masters degrees as well as stand-alone masters degrees through our in-person or Flex Online programs. Applicants for this position must possess a doctoral degree in Accounting or expect to receive their doctoral degree by August 2026 a demonstrated ability to publish in leading scholarly journals a commitment to teaching excellence and a strong interest in working with doctoral students.
