Job Description
Job Title: Clinical Engineering Tech Sr Dialysis
Location: Seneca Ridge (Dialysis Center) - 370 East Ridge Rd Rochester NY 14621
Hours Per Week: 40 hours
Schedule: 6:30 AM to - 3:00 PM with rotating Sundays
SUMMARY:
Responsible for ongoing maintenance repairs and calibration of equipment used in both acute and chronic hemodialysis units and monitoring of associated water systems.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Equipment Maintenance & Documentation: Performs all preventive maintenance calibration testing disinfecting and repairs of hemodialysis systems. Accurately documents activities in unit records to ensure traceability and compliance.
- Water Treatment System Monitoring: Conducts routine maintenance and monitoring of both portable and central water treatment systemsincluding culturing disinfecting membrane washing and rinsingwhile maintaining detailed documentation of all processes.
- Regulatory Compliance & Quality Assurance: Reviews all technical documentation to ensure adherence to regulatory standards. Collects and tracks data for the technical quality assurance program and supports implementation of corrective measures under the Chief Technicians direction.
- Technical Support & Vendor Coordination: Communicates with medical and professional staff regarding equipment functionality. Engages with service representatives to evaluate and compare products and orders necessary parts for dialysis equipment and water systems.
- Staff Training & Education: Provides technical in-services and training to new hires and dialysis staff covering equipment operation preventive maintenance disinfection calibration and troubleshooting. Ensures competency across all dialysis service sites.
- Safety Practices & On-Call Coverage: Utilizes personal protective equipment (PPE) and safe work practices to prevent exposure to infectious materials. Educates others on safety protocols and participates in on-call rotations as required.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
- High School Education
- Mechanical/Technical Experience
- Knowledge of Microsoft Office (Excel) (Word)
- Knowledge of basic tools and test equipment.
- Fresenius 2008 T level 1 dialysis system training

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
M - Medium Work - Exerting 20 to 50 pounds of force occasionally and/or 10 to 25 pounds of force frequently and/or greater than negligible up to 10 pounds of force constantly to move objects; Requires frequent walking standing or squatting.For disease specific care programs refer to the program specific requirements of the department for further specifications on experience and educational expectations including continuing education requirements.

The listed base pay range is a good faith representation of current potential base pay for a successful full time applicant. It may be modified in the future and eligible for additional pay components. Pay is determined by factors including experience relevant qualifications specialty internal equity location and contracts.
