Job Description
No Nights or Weekends!
TheCertifiied Medical Assistant in Urology prepares patients for exams performed by provider and assists during procedures. The Urology Specialty Clinic CMAs are required to participate/perform sensitive exams such as inserting urinary catheters in both males and females assisting with vasectomies and assisting providers with procedures when they insert scopes into the urethra on both males and females. Administers meds as ordered by provider. Records care provided in patient medical record. Participates in medication and procedure education for patients and their families by providing brochures and literature.
Location: Johns Hopkins Bayview Medical Center
Shift:
Full-time Day Shift - 8:00 a.m. - 4:30 p.m. No weekends required!
Certified Medical Assistant Requirements:
- High School Diploma or GED required
- Graduate from an Accredited Medical Assistant Program with an externship required
- RMA NRCMA NCMA or CCMA certification required
- AHA Healthcare Provider CPR/BLS Certification required
- At least six months of experience

Range: Minimum 16.75/hour - Maximum 27.65/ will be commensurate with equity and experience for roles of similar scope and responsibility.
