Job Description:
This role serves as a key point of contact between the plant and customers ensuring effective production planning proactive issue management and accurate communication to meet customer demand while supporting overall plant efficiency and business objectives.
Customer Communication & Service
Serve as the daily contact for customers regarding both mass production and service parts.
Maintain a proactive approach to customer needs; respond to requests promptly and escalate issues to management as appropriate.
Communicate effectively with customers and internal departments to ensure alignment on production and delivery plans.
Production Planning & Forecasting
Develop and manage daily weekly and monthly production plans based on customer orders and current production status.
Provide monthly and long-term production forecasts to support budgeting material procurement and inventory planning.
Anticipate potential production shortfalls or surpluses and adjust plans accordingly reporting major impacts to management.
Process Improvement & Reporting
Promote accurate data use and support the implementation of centralised computer systems for production tracking.
Support DAPP (Daily Achievement of Production Plans) implementation; review and verify tracking sheet accuracy.
Complete reports and special projects as requested by Production Control management.
Propose and contribute to initiatives that improve safety quality delivery and productivity across the plant.
Support departmental 6S activities and broader business plan targets.
Bachelors Degree (B.A.) from a four-year college or university or
35 years of related experience in an automotive or motorcycle manufacturing environment or
Equivalent combination of education and experience.
Experience in customer-facing roles or with regular customer interaction is strongly preferred.
Intermediate proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel Word PowerPoint).
Proficient with email communication and general IT tools.
Strong written and verbal communication skills.
Excellent time management organisation and interpersonal abilities.
High attention to detail and ability to work with large volumes of numerical data.
Ability to communicate and collaborate effectively across all levels of the organisation and with external customers.
