PETA Ltd are looking to source an exceptional Engineering Workshop Apprentice for our client Harrison Industrial. As an Engineering Workshop Apprentice you will need an interest in joining a workshop environment learning a range of engineering techniques with a special skill in welding & fabrication.
This apprenticeship programme forms part of Company succession planning for the future.
Training to be provided:
As an Engineering Workshop Apprentice you will be studying a level 2 Engineering Operative Apprenticeship. Throughout your apprenticeship with Harrison Industrial you will be supported by your company mentor and your PETA Learning and Development Coach.
You will attend PETAs training centre based in Havant for 1 day per week for off-the-job learning.
Overall apprenticeship duration 15 months.
About the role:
Joining the Company team as an Engineering Workshop Apprentice you will have the opportunity to learn a range of skills on the job. As part of the role you will learn the following:
Cleanliness of workshop and yard:
- Sweeping
- Disposing of metal waste
- Tidying of stores
Light works:
- Assisting with lifting and moving of materials
- Assisting with the cutting of large sheet metal
- Drilling holes
- Cutting material on the saw
- Grinding materials ready for welding
Larger Works further into the apprenticeship:
- Taking on your own small jobs
- Working from drawings
- Use of larger machinery
Future Training including:
- Forklift training
- CSCS Card for site work

- 2 GCSEs at grade C or above (or equivalents) in Maths and English
