Department/Unit Summary

TheMedical Surgicalat Lake Cumberland Regional Hospital embodies a culture of teamwork and effective communication essential for providing specialized care to critically ill patients. This 33-bed unit operates within a trauma III hospital setting ensuring patients receive optimal medical attention and support.

Qualifications and requirements
Applicants should have a current state RN license or a current multistate compact license and possess an associate or bachelors degree from an accredited nursing school.
Additional requirements include:
- Current American Heart Association BLS certification (or) obtained within 90 days after hire date.
- Current American Heart Association ACLS certification or obtain within 6 months after hire date.
- Successfully pass an arrhythmia exam within 90 days after hire date.
- Requires critical thinking skills decisive judgment and the ability to work with minimal supervision.
- Must be able to work in a stressful environment and take appropriate action.
- Able to communicate effectively in English both verbally and in writing
