Job Description
Overview
We are currently looking for a full-timeShipping and Receiving Clerkto support at our TC Huntley plant. As aShipping and Receiving Clerkyou will be responsible for performing duties to efficiently receive store and distribute materials. This includes processing incoming shipments and preparing customer orders for timely shipment.
Schedule:Monday through Thursday 9am 7pm Friday 9am 5pm.
Competitive pay starting at $20/hr.
Responsibilities
When your actions lead to success:
- Unload trucks and receive incoming material check vendor packing list with items received and verify accuracy of items with purchase orders.
- Complete all required paperwork including noting discrepancies and damages on packing list.
- Place stock and non-stock items in appropriate locations.
- Prepare all orders for shipment including pulling the correct items wrapping finished goods pallets with the automatic stretch wrapper attach labels prepare bills of lading contact carrier for pick-up and load trucks.
- Prepare UPS shipments on manifest system package items apply labels stage items and close out of the manifest system.
- Maintain stock and stocking locations.
- Notify supervisor to order all required shipping supplies when needed.
- Inspect customer returned goods for accuracy and condition.
- Contact carriers for rate quotes on special shipments to obtain the best rate.

- Complies with all the standards that are followed in the TC Huntley plant including but not limited to-Health Safety Wellness (HSW) Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) Safe Quality Food (SQF) Continuous Improvement (CI) and any other processes established within the TC Huntley plant.
- Responsible for reporting all safety quality and food safety problems to personnel with authority to initiate action.
- Performs other duties as requested or assigned.
- Performs responsibilities to expected outcomes.
- Communicates openly truthfully and compassionately with respect for individual differences.
- Identify issues and problems and reports those issues to management.
- Maintains a neat and orderly work area.
- Operates in a safe manner.
