PROPOSED SALARY RANGE: 42200 - 54600 depending on relevant skills knowledge and experience. The expected salary range for this role reflects internal benchmarking and external market insights.

This role is advertised as part of our BBC Extend programme for disabled people. BBC Radio Derby are offering this rare opportunity to join our multi-platform Derby team as a creative Community Producer delivering inspiring content. We need a passionate broadcaster who is great at enabling others to tell their stories on air online through social media and TV and who can make content that will surprise our audience.
You will be working in the heart of our communities in Derbyshire and East Staffordshire developing partnerships with communities and design and implement a series of outreach projects which will tell the stories of audiences we dont currently cater for.
You will excellent skills in managing people and relationships.
WHY JOIN THE TEAM
Were looking for someone with great editorial judgement who can spot a story and turn it into creative radio and digital content. Youll need experience of project and event management and be able to see an idea from concept to delivery.
You will have excellent interpersonal skills and ability to manage people and establish new relationships. You will head up some major projects including our Make a Difference Awards Christmas Carol Service and large events that are important to our audience.
BBC Radio Derby serves a diverse audience and you will need extensive knowledge of the communities in Derbyshire and East Staffordshire and be able to support our effort to be part of hard to reach groups and organisations connecting with them making them feel supported respected celebrated and that they have a voice.
