Job Summary
The Vice President of Sales is a senior leadership role responsible for developing and executing sales strategies to drive agent recruitment productivity and Medicare plan enrollments. This individual will lead the sales team to ensure consistent growth and performance across all distribution channels.
Primary Responsibilities:
Strategic Leadership:
Develop and execute a comprehensive sales strategy for Medicare Advantage Medicare Supplement and Part D products.
Introduce U65 products to the recruiting line-up.
Implement programs to increase cross-selling initiatives.
Agent Recruitment & Development:
Oversee initiatives to recruit independent agents agencies and broker partners.
Design and implement onboarding and training programs to maximize productivity.
Manage the co-op budget and track allocation of the funds.
Carrier & Partner Relations:
Build and maintain strong relationships with national and regional insurance carriers. Ensure compliance with carrier guidelines and contracting standards.
Team Management:
Lead coach and mentor the sales leadership team.
Create a high-performance culture focused on accountability compliance and growth.
Performance Metrics & Reporting:
Establish KPIs for agent activity enrollments activation retention and revenue.
Provide regular reporting and analysis to the executive team.
Forecasting engagement to establish the companys goals.
Marketing & Lead Strategy:
Collaborate with marketing to design and implement lead generation co-op advertising and local market strategies.
Creation of relevant video content that spurs engagement in the various social media channels.
Identify strategic opportunities on the horizon.
Compliance Oversight:
Work closely with the compliance officer to ensure all sales practices adhere to CMS guidelines and ethical standards.
Ensure all agency and agent programs follow CMS guidelines.
Primary Skills & Requirements:
Bachelors degree in business Marketing or a related field (MBA preferred)
710 years of progressive leadership experience in Medicare sales or health insurance distribution
Deep understanding of the Medicare market regulations CMS compliance and carrier processes
Proven track record in growing FMO IMO or insurance distribution sales
Experience managing multi-state sales teams.
Strong analytical communication and leadership skills
Licensed in Life & Health
Entrepreneurial mindset with a strong bias toward action
Existing broker/agent network
Ability to travel up to 40%.
Comfortable using CRM tools and sales technology platforms.
