Key Responsibilities:
- Assist in the day-to-day operations of the Critical Care Unit (CCU/ICU)
- Provide direct patient care as needed ensuring safe and efficient clinical practices
- Supervise and mentor nursing staff facilitating education and professional development
- Assist with staff scheduling performance evaluations and conflict resolution
- Ensure compliance with hospital policies regulatory standards and quality initiatives
- Assist with Audits Inventory Ordering and Coordinating training
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to optimize patient outcomes
- Participate in quality improvement projects and departmental initiatives
- Serve as a role model for professionalism and evidence-based practice
Additional Job Description
Qualifications:
- Required:
- Current RN license in South Carolina or a compact state
- Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN)
- Minimum 3 years of recent ICU/critical care nursing experience
- Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification with the American Heart Association
- Preferred:
- Masters degree in Nursing or Healthcare Administration
- Previous leadership or charge nurse experience
