Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist in the day-to-day operations of the Critical Care Unit (CCU/ICU)
  • Provide direct patient care as needed ensuring safe and efficient clinical practices
  • Supervise and mentor nursing staff facilitating education and professional development
  • Assist with staff scheduling performance evaluations and conflict resolution
  • Ensure compliance with hospital policies regulatory standards and quality initiatives
  • Assist with Audits Inventory Ordering and Coordinating training
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to optimize patient outcomes
  • Participate in quality improvement projects and departmental initiatives
  • Serve as a role model for professionalism and evidence-based practice

Additional Job Description

Qualifications:

  • Required:
    • Current RN license in South Carolina or a compact state
    • Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN)
    • Minimum 3 years of recent ICU/critical care nursing experience
    • Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification with the American Heart Association
  • Preferred:
    • Masters degree in Nursing or Healthcare Administration
    • Previous leadership or charge nurse experience
