You will be updated with latest job alerts via emailWe have a vacancy within our Manufacturing Department and are currently recruiting for the role of Ream and Clean Team Leader. We are looking for candidates who have relevant and proven experience seeking an opportunity to develop their skills and join a growing Organisation.
Shift Pattern:39 hours each week with a flexible starting time between 07:00 and 08:00 Monday to Friday with a flexible finish time between 16:00 and 17:00 Monday to Thursday and on a Friday a finish time of 12.00. You will be entitled to a 30-minute unpaid lunch break between 12:00 and 12:30 Monday to Thursday. Additionally you will have a 10-minute paid break each morning Monday to Friday and a 10-minute paid break each afternoon Monday to Thursday.

Role Accountabilities:
Operational Control
Support the internal customer (Manufacturing Manager) by sharing agreed objectives on EHS Quality Cost and Delivery and participating in the Operational Control model.
Participate in the walk the floor routine and develop a stand-alone walk the floor routine specific to the Sheetmetal Team leader role.
Participate in the Daily Operations meeting taking ownership of problems assigned to the TL function for resolution.
Contribute to the delivery of the EHS Model by participating in Job Safety Observations and providing technical/process solutions to EHS problems where appropriate.
Engaging with team members to develop competence through mentoring and training.
Understand the process constraints and operating rules of the value stream covered in the TL role and participate in problem-solving exercises to improve flow where relevant.
Support Manufacturing Manager through day-to-day supervision of Sheetmetal workers.
General responsibilities
Manage throughput of work in priority order to deliver our OTIF target
Ensure planned times are accurate and that team members are competing work within time allocated
Maintain an efficient system to control the maintenance and storage / replenishment of tooling
Carry out sheet metalwork operations to produce conforming parts
Provide input including method and cycle times for new quotations when required
Lead /support the development of efficient methods of manufacture and tooling for NPDI and existing work
Liaise with Management regarding staffing levels and workload
Create Competitive Advantage
Lead the weekly Gemba meeting in line with standard format ensuring communication of relevant SQCDP metrics.
Develop a continuous improvement pipeline of activities by supporting LEAN Events and generating individual ideas to improve EHS Quality Cost and Delivery performance. For example by developing tooling strategies to reduce tooling usage and cost developing actions to reduce process cycle times and improve productivity/throughput developing actions to eliminate quality defects and working to create a safe and environmentally compliant workplace.
Apply problem-solving methodologies to define and solve problems at root cause as a method of improving operational performance in particular on process capability and quality problems.
