Job Description

Our client is looking to recruit a Lead Pipeline Engineer role for a FEED gas transmission pipelines/networks. The clients offices are based in central London and they operate a hybrid working patter on 1-2 days in the office. Project duration is 9-12 months and the role will be Outside IR35.

Job Description:


The candidate will be responsible for studies FEED and Detailed Design of onshore pipelines and associated facilities. Including but not restricted to:

  • Pipeline route selection
  • Mechanical design i.e. wall thickness stress analysis (CAESAR II experience) and expansion analysis
  • Development of material specifications and data sheets
  • Development of construction and inspection specifications
  • Preparation of Pipeline EPC scopes of work
  • Input to EPC schedules and Cost Estimate
  • Previous experience working on the mechanical and civil design of onshore pipeline projects and the project execution strategies associated with pipeline procurement and construction
  • Proven track record in FEED and detailed design experience
  • Able to develop pipeline installation commissioning operation and maintenance analysis and procedures
  • Experienced in the use of pipeline software (AutoCAD Microstation CAESAR II) is preferred
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel Word Outlook and PowerPoint is required
  • Experience in the development of material requisitions and construction scopes of work
  • Chartered engineer status preferred
