Position Summary
The Inclusive Engagement Assistant will support Inclusive Excellence by assisting with student services and programming at cultural centers and related initiatives including the Jewish Life and Resource Center. Under close supervision the incumbent will provide support for events help with day-to-day tasks and contribute to creating an inclusive and welcoming environment for diverse student populations.
The incumbent will assist in gathering basic information on student needs helping with program logistics and providing general support for student assistants and daily operations at the assigned cultural centers. Responsibilities may include helping students and staff plan and promote activities sharing information about available campus resources and offering general administrative support.
This entry-level role provides an opportunity to learn about student services work while developing skills in communication organization and inclusive programming. The position requires an interest in working with a diverse student body a willingness to learn and follow established procedures and a commitment to supporting a sense of belonging and student engagement on campus.
FLSA:Non-Exempt (Eligible for overtime compensation)
Anticipated Hiring Range:$4150 per month
CSU Classification Salary Range:$4150 - 5076 per month

Minimum Qualifications
Knowledge and Abilities: Working knowledge of the basic principles of individual and group behavior; research and observation techniques for the purpose of recording classifying and interpreting factual information; and the techniques and methods of interviewing. Ability to gather and analyze data; reason logically draw valid conclusions and make appropriate recommendations; participate in and contribute to group meetings conferences and interviews; clearly express ideas and recommendations orally; write clear and concise reports; and establish and maintain cooperative working relationships with students staff and faculty.
Experience: None required.
Education: Equivalent to graduation from a four-year college or university in one of the behavioral sciences public or business administration or a job-related field. Specialized experience during which the applicant has acquired and successfully applied the knowledge and abilities shown above may be substituted for the required education on a year-for-year basis.
