How youll contribute
As an Assessment Specialist youll make an impact by receiving inquiry calls and assist the caller with scheduling a face-to-face assessment or triage to the appropriate community referral. You can also expect to:
- Assess or ensure assessment by a qualified mental health professional of patients who present for assessment.
- Screen for medical and behavioral emergency conditions.
- Perform a comprehensive assessment and quality therapeutic care to patients seeking treatment for substance abuse dual diagnosis or psychiatric or emotional disorders; coordinate with the clinical team or on-call physician to ensure these needs are met either at the facility or other appropriate community providers.

Qualifications and requirements
Applicants should have a minimum of a masters degree in social work or counseling (required). Additional requirements include:
- Prior experience in a psychiatric healthcare facility working with adult and geriatric patients preferred. Must have strong clinical assessment skills.
- Current unencumbered clinical social work counseling license or per state of practice guidelines.
- CPR and Handle With Care Certification within 30 days.
