POSITION SCOPE
A Scale Attendant/Operator is responsible for accurately and efficiently monitoring and recording materials exiting the work area.
PRIMARY DUTIES
- Determine material exiting pit to properly bill the customers
- Receive payment from customers; provide receipts to customers
- Balance the daily receipts to ensure accurate recordkeeping and appropriate billing
- Answer the telephone and provide general information to callers
- Maintain the cleanliness of the work area. Perform other job-related duties as assigned.
- Acts in a professional courteous and cooperative manner towards customers and co-workers
- Ability to adhere to work schedule and follow through on challenges as they arise
- Ability to adhere to Company policies and rules that are set forth; promotes the Companys safety standards; works with a sense of honesty and trustworthiness
- Perform other duties as assigned
REQUIREMENTS
- High School Diploma or GED
- Ability to use a wide range of scales accurately
- Good attention to detail
- Good communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work well under pressure
- Experience in a previous position that required the handling of cash and balancing cash and/or receipts
- Experience in an environment outside the home with computers and various software programs
- Precision
- Attention to detail
- Ability to work with a range of measuring tools
- Analytical
- Organized
- Able to work collaboratively
