Mainframe Systems Administrator
- Contract: Long term project
- Locations: Sydney & Melbourne
- Required: Must be an Australian Citizen
About the role:
Our client is looking for Mainframe Support SMEs with rich technical experience on mainframe in particular niche mainframe systems administration skills in a z15 z/OS environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Expected to have expertise in software maintenance (patching/upgrading software) in a mainframe environment SMP/E skills (mainframe software management).
- 24X7 support shift work and after-hours support required
- Operational and technical support to Application support and management.
- Master console operation support.
- Problem ticket in-depth analysis trouble-shooting problem resolution
- Operational monitoring alerting and tuning
- Proactively providing innovative solutions in accordance with modern technologies
- Build and maintain relationships with and advise various levels of stakeholders.
The Successful Candidate
- Supporting mainframe environments
- Technical expertise in mainframe environment software migration and maintenance processes
- Good automation experience using SAS REXX
- Operating System z/OS
- DB/Language - Adabas/Natural
- Transaction processor TSO NIM
- Monitoring Alerting Printing & Operational Support XYMON MXG VPS/NIMSPL
- Middleware MQ Datastream RPC Corba
- Scheduler/Batch processor CA-11/Jobtrac
- Job Language - JCL
- Security RACF Natural security
- Source Code Management N20
- Storage/Backup Management Hitachi VPS5100 CA-1 (Tape Management)
Candidates must be an Australian Citizen and either hold or be eligible to obtain a baseline security clearance.
