Job Summary

We have a 21-bed unit and staffing ratios for nursing are 4 to 1
Staggered nursing shifts throughout the day to cover the highest volume times with the most staff
Diagnostic X-ray CT scan and ultrasound services are available 24 hours a day seven days a week
MRI is available for most of the day seven days a week
We are a Primary Stroke Center and are in process of initiating a TeleStroke Program in collaboration with BWH and MGH
We care for patients of all ages including pediatric patients and work as a team to provide the best possible treatment

Qualifications
- BSN required.
- Massachusetts Registered Nurse License required.
- BLS required
- ED experience preferred.
- 2 years telemetry experience preferred.
- Must obtain ACLS prior to end of orientation.
- Adheres to all I.C.A.R.E. standards.
- Must show evidence of the basic analytic thinking necessary to care for a group of patients.
- Demonstrate observational skills and the ability to set priorities.
- Ability to function under stress with good interpersonal and communication skills.
- Must demonstrate effective skills in applying hospital standards in area of service team work communication respect for others and time/priority management.
