Parametric is part of Morgan Stanley Investment Management the asset management division of Morgan Stanley. We partner with advisors institutions and consultants to build portfolios focused on what is important to them and their clients. A leader in custom solutions for more than 30 years we help investors access efficient market exposures solve implementation challenges and design multi-asset portfolios that respond to their evolving needs. We also offer systematic alpha and alternative strategies to complement clients core holdings.

This role is part of Parametric s hybrid working model which includes working in the office 3 days a week and choosing to work remotely or in the office the remaining days of the week.

ABOUT THE TEAM
The operations department consists of a team of professionals that focuses on the overall operations of Parametric. This group ensures the production process is complete from start to finish and lines up with the goals and functions of other departments within the firm. Examples include supervising organizing and completing daily production measuring and evaluating daily workload and providing services to ensure the business runs as smoothly and effectively as possible.

ABOUT THE ROLE
The Operations Analyst will be responsible for setting up new client portfolios within Parametrics accounting system. Assets could include cash equity securities fixed income securities. Daily volume is high and the analyst will interact with client service trading portfolio management and other teams at Parametric.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Establish prospect accounts in Parametrics portfolio accounting system (APX) for our portfolio managers to run optimizations on the client securities and cash
  • Resolve exceptions in a timely manner
  • Research and troubleshoot any issues with a existing and prospect clients portfolio
  • Work with internal teams to resolve issues that are found during the prospect account set-up process
  • Gain proficiency and understanding of task allocations and team policies and procedure in order to mitigate risk. Assist with coverage when team members are out and cross train to ensure coverage
  • Various daily weekly and monthly checks

JOB QUALIFICATIONS

PRIMARY SKILLS

  • 4-year degree preferably in related discipline such as economics finance or marketing; work experience in lieu of degree will be considered
  • Experienced in Microsoft Office especially excel
  • Ability to work independently and self-manage high volumes of data with tight deadlines
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Strong time management skills
  • Strong communication skills

Salary range for the position: $60000-$90000/Yr. The successful candidate may be eligible for an annual discretionary incentive compensation award. The successful candidate may be eligible to participate in the relevant business units incentive compensation plan which also may include a discretionary bonus component.
