We are currently seeking:
A Superintendent to join our this role you will manage staff and set priorities for work groups performing semi-skilled work in the maintenance and repair of City streets bridges and infrastructure.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Managing the daily operations of the Lake Operations Division including personnel and human resources activities assigned fleet and equipment supplies and materials operational tasks and budgeting financial and expenditure oversight.
- Managing and supporting assigned staff to maintain lake parks and infrastructure in safe condition; provides leadership to ensure that construction repair and maintenance services are provided in alignment with the Citys strategic objectives safety guidelines state and federal laws.
- Prioritizing planning organizing implementing and overseeing lake parks and infrastructure maintenance construction repair projects and special project requests; inspecting jobsites and ensuring work quality efficient operations and cost-effective practices.
- Working with City Departments external agencies and other organizations to resolve operational management maintenance and project issues.
- Conducting inspections of work projects and offering technical assistance and guidance to subordinate staff as necessary; overseeing ongoing work projects to ensure that safety rules and regulations are adhered to and that all equipment is in safe operating condition.
- Managing the collection analysis and reporting of operational budget and financial data; calculating costs and resource requirements for future needs; ordering supplies materials and equipment.
- Investigating and resolving citizen complaints within scope of authority and according to City policies.
- Responding to emergencies and coordinating City resources according to plans and needs; dispatches and accounts for crew activity during emergency events.
- Training and developing staff skills; conducting performance evaluations; meeting regularly with staff to discuss and resolve workload and technical issues; reviewing the work of assigned staff to ensure work quality and timely accomplishment of assigned duties and responsibilities.
- Performing needs assessment for supplies materials and services; drafts specifications works with City Departments and performs tasks associated with bidding award and procurement.
- Researching current specifications practices and developments in the infrastructure construction maintenance and repair industry; performs in-field analysis of new products or techniques; advises subordinates supervisors and City Management based on research.
- Presenting information reports and presentations to subordinates supervisors and City Management.

Requirements and Skills:

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
Education and Experience:
High School Diploma or equivalent; and five years experience in municipal parks and/or lake maintenance including three years supervisory experience; or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
Required Licenses or Certifications:
- Must possess a valid Texas Driver License.
- Applicants with an out-of-state driver license must provide an original certified driving record from the state of driving licensure.
- Class A CDL may be required.
Physical Demands / Work Environment:
- Work is performed indoors in an office environment and at construction sites maintenance facilities and outside environments.
