The Division of Endocrinology is seeking a full-time outpatient Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant to work as a member in our community outpatient practice. This is a general endocrinology position but the primary responsibility will be caring for patients with diabetes aged 18 and up. The APP will work collaboratively with all Endocrinology physicians and work independently to provide for patient needs. This position will require direct patient care and telemedicine.
Primary responsibilities include but are not limited to:
Nurse Practitioner: Masters-prepared graduate of an accredited school of nursing and Nurse Practitioner program. Current WI RN and APRN license and certification as an FNP or ANP.
Physician Assistant: Graduate of accredited Physician Assistant program with current PA certification by NCCPA and registration as a PA by the WI State Board of Medical Practice.
Experience managing diabetes including diabetes technology preferred.
BLS & DEA Required.
Additional Qualifications:
Possess ability to work independently/autonomously and collaboratively with other health care professionals. Have extensive patient assessment skills and possess ability to develop appropriate plan of care modifying as indicated. Possess effective communication skills and interpersonal skills with patients families and members of health care team. Candidate must practice patient-centered evidence-based care.
