ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS
- Patrolling: Regularly patrol assigned areas to deter potential criminal activity and ensure safety compliance.
- Monitoring Security Systems: Observe security cameras and alarms to detect suspicious activities or emergencies.
- Access Control: Manage entry and exit points including verifying identification and credentials of individuals entering the premises.
- Incident Response: Respond promptly to emergencies incidents or disturbances and report findings to the relevant authorities.
- Client Service: Assist and provide support to visitors and employees promoting a welcoming and secure atmosphere.
- Reporting: Maintain detailed logs of daily activities incidents and observations for management and law enforcement if necessary.
- Enforcing Policies: Ensure compliance with company policies and procedures as well as local laws and regulations.
- Collaboration: Work effectively with law enforcement emergency responders and other security personnel as required.
- Ad-hoc tasks: Other duties as assigned
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
- Position may require extended periods of sitting standing and walking. Some light lifting may be required in some instances.
- Talking hearing and using hands to operate computer equipment as well as CCTV/Security Camera screens and equipment.
- Vision abilities required by this job include close vision and the ability to adjust focus.
- Job will require regular and punctual attendance as well as presence on-site at the assigned work location.
WORKING CONDITIONS
- May work indoors and outdoors in various environments.
- Shifts may include nights weekends and holidays.
- The position may require standing for long periods and being vigilant at all times.
OTHER SKILLS AND ABILITIES
- Excellent oral and written communication skills.
- Attention to detail.
- Capable of assessing situations quickly and making informed decisions under pressure.
- Must be physically fit to perform patrols and respond to incidents effectively.
- Maintain a professional appearance and demeanor at all times.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Previous experience in security law enforcement or related fields is preferred but not always required.
- Certification in first aid CPR and other safety training may be beneficial.
CERTIFICATIONS AND LICENSES
Professional certification may be required in some areas.
