How youll contribute
The Cook performs a variety of tasks that facilitate the provision of food service and nutritional support to patients employees and visitors. Responsibilities include:
Reviews menus to determine types and quantities of food needed
Coordinates timing of preparation in order to meet service schedule for patients staff and visitors
Adheres to standardized recipes and portion control to prevent food waste and control food cost
Provides maintenance and sanitation of equipment in food production areas
Other duties as assigned

Qualifications and requirements
Education:
High school graduate or equivalent required
Ability to be ServSafe Certified within 3 months of hire. Also must recertify every 3 years.
Experience:
- Two years experience in food services hospital setting preferred
- Knowledge of food sanitation and safety (HACCP ServSafe Certificate)
- Knowledge of food quality through the use of established procedures and guidelines
