Clinical Negligence Solicitor (Grade B or Equivalent) Leeds/Hybrid

We are seeking an experienced Clinical Negligence Solicitor (Grade B or equivalent) to join our dynamic and growing team. This role offers an excellent opportunity to work with a highly skilled legal team that includes professionals accredited by APIL AvMA and the Law Society Clinical Negligence Panel.

The Role:

As a Clinical Negligence Solicitor you will independently manage a caseload of clinical negligence matters ensuring a proactive client-focused and commercially aware approach. You will collaborate with experienced colleagues to deliver outstanding results and provide exceptional service to clients.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage an individual caseload of clinical negligence claims.
  • Provide support and guidance to the team contributing to proactive case management and progression.
  • Ensure effective time recording and case strategy planning with senior team members.
  • Identify cases ready for Letter of Claim (LOC) settlement or service and drive them forward.
  • Draft legal documentation including LOC and letters of instruction.
  • Negotiate settlements and litigate claims as required.
  • Oversee case documentation and correspondence ensuring accuracy and compliance.
  • Offer technical support to junior team members assisting in their development.

The Ideal Candidate:

  • 5 years PQE or equivalent experience handling clinical negligence cases
  • Strong case management skills with the ability to handle complex claims
  • Excellent communication drafting and negotiation skills
  • Strong commercial awareness within a legal environment
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Proclaim and Excel
  • Ability to mentor junior team members and contribute to their development
  • A client-focused approach with outstanding client care skills
