Enemix has partnered with one of Australias leading energy and carbon consultancies who are going from strength to strength. This consultancy are expanding their Financial Advisory Practice and are looking for a Director in their leadership team to further expand the Financial advisory markets in Australia They are seeking someone passionate about the renewables and decarbonisation market who are looking to leave their mark on the industry.
The Role
As a Director of Energy Analytics you will bring your Renewable Energy sector expertise (across wind solar and BESS projects) to lead innovative industry-standard research and analysis supporting our customers and the broader battery energy storage sector. You will collaborate with internal research financial regulatory auditing and operating teams to provide a comprehensive multi-disciplinary approach to project development and analytics.
Responsibilities
- lead and grow The Power and Renewable Energy Capital Advisory services practice
- Advise on investment in small- and mid-tier (up to $500m) businesses on equity capital raises and M&A transactions
- Focus on sectors and client accounts most adjacent CORE Markets existing services:
- Australias power generation sector (NEM) with a focus on renewables and storageelectricity retailing sector and carbon sectors with a focus on project developers
- Looking for an entrepreneurial sales-minded leader to grow a the Financial Advisory part of the business
- Manage and Lead a brilliant team for 4-8 People
Skills and Experience Required
- 10-15 years experience in financial advisory focused on the power/Energy Utilities sector
- Consulting background essential.
- MA and Transaction Experience across the Energy Power and Utilities Sector is preferred
- Career experiences across the energy transition investment decision making climate change and decarbonisation.
- The ability to provide strategic commercial financial advice and developing financial models.
- Preparing briefing documentation for tenders submissions and investor memorandums running financial models supporting transaction strategy and analysis.
- The ability to prepare client deliverables business cases feasibility studies reports presentations or financial analysis to support client decisions.
- Recent professional experience in corporate advisory management consultancy engineering consultancy accounting or law firms investment banking project finance teams infrastructure funds construction firms or within commercial or infrastructure teams in operational businesses.
- Tertiary qualifications in Engineering Commerce Economics Law or other relevant subject
