Indian River State College is seeking a detail-oriented and organized Asset Management Specialist to join our team. This position plays a key role in managing the life cycle of the Colleges technology assets by maintaining accurate inventory records supporting software and hardware audits and coordinating equipment distribution. The ideal candidate will have experience with asset tracking systems a strong understanding of IT hardware/software and the ability to work both independently and collaboratively to ensure operational efficiency across multiple campuses.
JOB SUMMARY:
Under general supervision this position controls inventory levels by enforcing the use of standard processes conducting physical counts and supporting technological audits for the College. Duties include: supporting the asset life cycle of information technology hardware and/or software assets throughout the organization; maintaining and monitoring hardware/software inventory in the asset tracking tool to ensure compliance; and maintaining accurate and timely inventory of hardware and software assets within Service Desk
SPECIFIC DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
QUALIFICATIONS KNOWLEDGE AND SKILL REQUIREMENTS:
PHYSICAL DEMANDS:
This position classifies the physical exertion requirements as medium work involving lifting no more than 50 pounds at a time with frequent lifting or carrying of objects weighing up to 25 pounds. If someone can do medium work we determine that he or she can also do sedentary and light work.
