Job Description
We are looking for a skilled Snowflake Architect to lead data architecture and engineering efforts with deep experience in designing data warehouses lakes marts and robust Snowflake solutions. The role requires strong knowledge of Snowflake internals ETL/ELT processes data modeling governance and performance optimization.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design and implement scalable Data Warehouses Data Lakes Delta Lakes and Data Marts
- Build robust data architectures within Snowflake using schemas layers pipelines and models
- Develop and optimize data models for efficient querying and analytics
- Design and implement ETL/ELT pipelines and adaptive data architectures
- Identify and resolve performance issues in Snowflake environments
- Ensure data governance metadata management security and compliance within Snowflake
- Collaborate with business teams and data stakeholders to define requirements and data strategies
- Work on data lifecycle management from inception to archival
Required Skills:
- Snowflake (advanced level)
- SQL and DBT (Data Build Tool)
- Data Lake Architecture and ETL/ELT pipeline development
- Knowledge of Data Governance tools and Data Catalogs
- Metadata Master Data Management
- Tableau (for reporting/integration)
- Strong understanding of various data formats lifecycle and integration principles
- Hands-on with at least one major data management platform
Qualifications:
- Bachelors degree in computer science IT Applied Math Statistics or related field
- 6 8 years of relevant experience in data engineering and architecture roles
- Prior experience in large-scale Snowflake implementation and performance tuning
