Job Description
Duties & Responsibilities
- Work with Design and Production teams to establish and maintain fit and construction standards to ensure brand consistency and quality
- Create spec packages for each style including correct grade rules and non-standard construction details
- Accurate measurement and evaluation of development proto samples for spec quality & workmanship
- Prepare and lead fit sessions with Design and Production Depts
- Communicate measurement construction and workmanship comments to vendors including providing detailed explanations diagrams and/or patterns as needed
- Work with Production and Compliance Depts to ensure all products meet relevant childrens safety requirements
- Answer questions via email regarding fit specs pattern and construction as needed
Requirements
- Minimum 2 years relevant experience childrenswear experience is preferred
- Experience with 3D software preferably Browzwear.
- Familiar with measuring sample points of measurement to ensure submitted samples are within tolerance of required specifications
- Strong knowledge of knit and woven garment construction
- Knowledge of patternmaking sewing terminology and garment construction
- Have understanding of garment manufacturing and product development process
- Proficient in the use of Excel and MS Word; knowledge of Illustrator a plus
- Must be willing to work in the office a minimum of 4 days/week.
