Job Description:

TD Securities is currently seeking an experienced Vice President to join our Real Estate Investment Banking practice in New York. The successful candidate will play a vital role in all aspects of sourcing and executing Real Estate transactions and maintaining strategic dialog with clients. The candidate will be responsible for managing and executing a wide range of complex transactions. He or she will also play a critical role in developing junior professionals.

Key Responsibilities:

• Utilize real estate sector expertise in developing presentations term sheets and financial models to analyze clients financial situations financing and M&A opportunities
• Manage deal execution and project management throughout the lifecycle of a transaction
• Construct detailed M&A and joint venture models and provide any necessary financial and statistical analysis
• Conduct deep industry and company-specific due diligence
• Oversee and/or assist in the preparation of business valuations
• Provide timely support to cross-functional teams such as Leveraged Finance Debt Capital Markets Equity Capital Markets and Corporate Risk Solutions
• Create presentation materials and actively participate in client discussions
• Work independently to deliver presentations and client follow-up requests on a timely basis
• Guide junior bankers in the preparation of pitchbooks and live deal materials including offering memoranda management presentations ad-hoc analysis due diligence and the building of financial models
• Build relationships and maintain direct contact with clients
• Interact with senior TD Securities team members and client management teams on a daily basis to successfully execute transactions and discuss strategic alternatives

Qualifications:

Candidates must have a strong background in investment banking underpinned by solid quantitative and analytical or she should be able to think creatively about a range of strategic issues confronting the firms clients and have an exceptional grasp on accounting valuation finance and business strategy. Specific qualifications include:

• 5 years of investment banking experience; Real Estate industry experience is strongly preferred
• Excellent analytical and modeling skills with a vast knowledge of finance and accounting principles
• Expertise in all phases of project management and deal execution with an established track record
• Ability to comfortably interact with clients in a professional setting
• Assist with idea generation and deal sourcing when appropriate
• Able to provide direction and leadership to build a strong team environment
• Exceptional written and verbal communication skills
• Bachelors degree from a leading university
• Series 79 and 63 preferred
