Key Result Areas:
• Supply designs to meet Production Maintenance and Health Safety and Environment departments' needs. • Process Warranty claims as placed with main contractor. • Coordinate project activities of variety of interested parties; both inhouse and external. • Provision of field coordination expertise. • Equipment design input to plant modifications and improvements. • Identify and justify improvements to equipment/processes and develop work scopes and bid invitations.
• Monitor and provide technical consultation on installation and commissioning of plant modifications. • Provide engineering assistance to operations and maintenance with regard to the technical aspects of plant equipment. • Assist with and provide specialized input to work requirements for planned plant shutdowns. • Responsible to the Head of Design Engineering and Projects for all activities.
Operating Environment. Framework and Boundaries: • Willing to relocate to Qatar (with family if married) • Will work between site office and plant environments • Able to work outside under inclement conditions. • Provide timely completion of work responsibilities.
Communications and Working Relationships: • Experience dealing with multicultural workforce. • Good teamwork and teambuilding skills. • Proven capability of working with peers from Technical Production Maintenance and HSE departments. • Good communication skills oral written and presentation. • Demonstrate interpersonal skills listening resolving conflicts personal training and performance management.
Knowledge Skills and Experience:
• Degree in Mechanical Engineering (.)
• Experience in piping design construction and commissioning.
• Membership of relevant professional institutions. • At least 8 years of experience in the design construction commissioning and maintenance of largescale petrochemical installations at least 5 years of which should have been on site at an operating facility. o Comprehensive knowledge of typical industrial practices related to safety in field construction within operational hydrocarbon processing facilities. • A thorough knowledge of U.S. and British codes and standards. General understanding and knowledge of technical disciplines related to hydrocarbon processing facilities. • Good understanding of contractual relationships between Client and Contractors. • Ability to prepare work scope evaluate tender documents prepare cost estimates and take responsibility to complete projects safely on time and within budget. o Proven ability to provide a high technical and organizational contribution in his discipline to the successful running of a large petrochemical complex. o Experience with design and project execution work in a facility processing Ethylene Polyethylene and Sulfur Removal will be an advantage.
