Job Description

Summary Matches paint for each order by using formulas and visual matching with color chips.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
- Reads work order or receives instructions from supervisor regarding paint colors that need made.
- Read work order and accurately package product to match order specifications (including parts color box type label type).
- Selects premade colors in paint room or storage cabinets; or mixes required portions of oil and thinning and drying substances to prepare paint that matches specified colors utilizing color eye.
- Keeps paint room area cleaned up.
- Sprays fasteners with spray gun when needed.
- Tracks and maintains paint chips in organized manner.
- Assist in workflow in immediate paint area.
- Follows 5S procedures to maintain clean work area.
- Supports the use of Power Boards for maintaining all department standards.

Qualifications To perform this job successfully an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. Education and/or Experience
High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or one to three months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Language Skills
Ability to read a limited number of two- and three-syllable words and to recognize similarities and differences between words and between series of numbers. Ability to print and speak simple sentences.
Mathematical Skills
Ability to add and subtract two digit numbers and to multiply and divide with 10s and 100s. Ability to perform these operations using units of American money and weight measurement volume and distance.
Reasoning Ability
Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed but uninvolved written or oral instructions. Ability to deal with problems involving a few concrete variables in standardized situations.
Computer Skills
Basic Computer Skills are required.
Other Skills and Abilities
Ability to see colors; Ability to make paint colors by mixing different colors and following formulas.

While performing the duties of this Job the employee is regularly required to stand; walk; use hands to finger handle or feel; reach with hands and arms and talk or hear. The employee must regularly lift and /or move up to 20 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include color vision. Respirator exams are given on an annual basis (or more often if necessary) and must be passed in order to perform this job.
