Job Summary
We are seeking a Multicraft Technician with active California-issued Electrician and HVAC Technician licenses. This role is responsible for maintaining repairing and troubleshooting equipment and systems in GMP-regulated environments. The ideal candidate will be skilled in multiple disciplines and capable of performing a wide range of maintenance tasks while adhering to California safety labor and environmental standards.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on mechanical electrical and HVAC systems within regulated (GMP) areas.
Troubleshoot systems using electrical and mechanical diagnostic tools and methods.
Work with building automation systems (BAS) and programmable logic controllers (PLC) as needed.
Accurately document maintenance activities using the Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS).
Ensure all work is performed in compliance with GMP OSHA Cal/OSHA and environmental regulations.
Minimum Qualifications:
Active California Electrician Certification (General or Residential per DIR guidelines).
Active California HVAC Technician License or C-20 Contractor License.
High school diploma or GED required.
Completion of a recognized technical program or vocational training in HVAC Electrical or Industrial Maintenance.
Minimum 2 years of experience in a facility or equipment maintenance role in a regulated industry (pharmaceutical biotech or medical device preferred).
EPA Universal Certification (Section 608).
Demonstrated proficiency in electrical and HVAC disciplines and mechanical systems.
Prior experience in a GMP-compliant facility is highly preferred.
Proficient in reading blueprints schematics and technical diagrams.
Ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
Work Environment and Physical Requirements
Frequently required to stand walk reach with hands and arms talk hear stoop kneel and crouch.
Regularly use hands and fingers to handle tools equipment and system controls.
Must be able to lift up to 35 lbs regularly and up to 50 lbs occasionally.
May work in confined spaces at heights (using ladders/lifts) and around wet humid or odorous environments.
Potential exposure to electrical hazards mechanical equipment and moderate to loud noise levels.
Must adhere to all Cal/OSHA safety regulations and wear appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE).
