The Role
Ororas Cans business is growing! With rising demand across Australia New Zealand and Oceania were investing $140M into our Rocklea facility ensuring we can continue to meet growing customer needs. This investment includes a new high-speed can body line boosting our capacity by 13% and featuring cutting-edge decoration and quality systems.
We are seeking a proactive and hands-on Line Start-Up Lead to join our manufacturing team at our Rocklea site. This Fixed-Term position (12 months) will play a key leadership role - you will be responsible for driving performance safety and continuous improvement across a dedicated production line.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead daily management systems (DMS) direction setting and drive a zero-loss mindset on the line
- Coach and support line teams in loss prioritisation elimination and skills development
- Own and enhance systems such as Clean Inspect Lubricate (CIL) and Incident Elimination (IE)
- Manage operational performance through structured problem solving and root cause analysis
- Lead safety and quality initiatives ensuring compliance and continuous improvement
- Support delivery of the sites operational plans including 90-day action plans for your line
About You
- High school diploma technical training or a degree in engineering manufacturing or a related field
- 3 years of experience in a manufacturing environment ideally in a leadership role
- Strong knowledge of continuous improvement methodologies
- Excellent coaching communication and team-building skills
- Ability to analyse and act on data using tools such as Pareto charts and Fishbone diagrams
