The People & Culture Manager will lead the full scope of Human Resources at Sweetgrass Pharmacy serving as a strategic partner and hands-on HR generalist. This on-site role requires the ability to work closely with executive leadership and frontline staff alike to foster a high-performing and people-centric culture.
This person will take ownership of talent acquisition employee relations compliance training onboarding and culture-building efforts. Healthcare and pharmacy experience is a plus but a demonstrated ability to learn the business and build trust with team members is essential.
Coach leadership and support staff development through 90-day evaluations annual reviews and career ladder programs.
Design and lead effective training programs across all roles and departments.
Influence a positive and productive workplace aligned with our mission and core values.
Own the end-to-end recruitment process from sourcing to hiring and onboarding.
Learn and understand pharmacy operations in order to recruit effectively and represent each position accurately to candidates.
Make hiring and termination decisions with strategic insight and alignment to business needs.
Build strong relationships across the organization from the CEO and COO to technicians and cashiers.
Foster a respectful and communicative culture where employees feel seen and supported.
Serve as a trusted partner in addressing concerns and resolving conflicts.
Process bi-weekly payroll for all employees.
Manage the HRIS and time-tracking system to support managers with timekeeping scheduling and attendance tracking.
Administer employee benefits (health dental retirement) and support enrollment and education.
Maintain up-to-date and compliant personnel files HR policies and employee handbooks.
Manage Workers Compensation and Unemployment claims.
Ensure compliance with federal and state employment laws (FMLA ADA etc.).
Track turnover metrics and conduct exit interviews.
Bachelors degree required; MBA a plus.
SHRM-CP required; SHRM-SCP preferred.
Minimum of 3 years of experience in Human Resources.
Experience in healthcare or pharmacy is highly valued but not required.
Proven track record as a self-motivated high-integrity HR generalist capable of managing people programs independently.
Clear confident communicator across all organizational levels.
Highly organized with the ability to juggle strategic initiatives and daily HR tasks.
Collaborative and respectful of diverse viewpoints and backgrounds.
Proficient in HRIS platforms Microsoft Office Suite and payroll systems.
Capable of occasional lifting (up to 40 lbs) and walking throughout the pharmacy.
Able to operate a cash register and understand point-of-sale basics if needed in support roles.
This is a 100% on-site role at the Carolina Park location with periodic visits to Seaside Farms.
Work is primarily office-based with frequent in-person interaction and observation of pharmacy operations.
Due to the nature of pharmacy compounding there is potential exposure to hazardous substances. Safety training and PPE will be provided.
