Now Hiring: Career Advisor I

Location: Onsite with Local Travel
Full-Time Career Development & Workforce Services
Bilingual (English/Spanish) Preferred

Are you passionate about helping individuals reach their full potential Were looking for a Career Advisor I to join a high-impact team that empowers job seekers through one-on-one coaching skills development and career planning.

As a Career Advisor youll play a critical role in connecting individuals to meaningful employment opportunities helping them overcome barriers and guiding them through every step of the career development process. Your work will directly contribute to the success of workforce programs and the broader community.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct comprehensive career assessments to determine job seekers strengths interests and training needs
  • Assist customers in developing realistic long-term career plans using workforce tools and labor market data
  • Deliver individualized coaching in resume writing interviewing and job search strategies
  • Guide individuals through the intake and eligibility process for various grant-funded workforce programs
  • Recommend and refer customers to occupational training apprenticeships and other upskilling opportunities
  • Submit timely requests for training accounts work-based learning and supportive services
  • Maintain consistent communication with customers to monitor progress and provide ongoing case management
  • Educate participants on current industry trends and employment opportunities across sectors
  • Partner with internal teams and employer relations staff to align job seekers with job openings
  • Maintain accurate records in case management systems and ensure compliance with all quality standards

Who You Are:

  • A strong communicator with a passion for helping others
  • Experienced in career advising social services or workforce development (preferred)
  • Able to manage a caseload meet deadlines and track progress effectively
  • Comfortable working with diverse populations including individuals facing employment barriers
  • Resourceful goal-driven and committed to continuous improvement
  • Skilled in MS Office and digital workforce tools
  • Bilingual in English and Spanish (preferred but not required)

Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or GED required; Associate or Bachelors degree preferred
  • Valid drivers license insurance and a clean driving record
  • Previous experience in a customer-facing or case management role strongly preferred

Work Environment & Expectations:

  • Primarily office-based with occasional travel required
  • Flexible hours may be necessary depending on program needs
  • Must be able to lift up to 10 lbs occasionally and perform general physical duties associated with an office environment
