Job Description

Job Title: Commercial Door Installer / Welder

Location: Denver CO
Industry: Division 8 Doors Frames & Hardware
Employment Type: Full-Time Hourly

Position Summary

We are seeking a reliable and skilled Commercial Door Installer to join our growing team in the Denver CO area. The primary focus of this role is the installation of hollow metal doors frames and architectural hardware on commercial projects. Welding experience is a plus but not required.

The ideal candidate will be field-ready mechanically inclined and eager to grow within the Division 8 industry. There is future potential to transition into a shop-based role once a new fabrication facility is complete (anticipated within a year). This position offers long-term career growth for those who take pride in their work and want to be part of a high-quality team.

Key Responsibilities

  • Install hollow metal doors frames and hardware at commercial job sites

  • Interpret and follow basic blueprints specs and installation instructions

  • Work closely with project managers and field supervisors to meet project goals

  • Perform light welding or tack welding in the field (if qualified)

  • Ensure all work meets quality and safety standards

  • Maintain a clean and safe work environment

  • Use digital tools (such as an iPad) to log hours access drawings or communicate with the team

  • Assist with job site delivery coordination and material handling

Qualifications

Required:

  • 1 year of experience in door installation or completion of relevant trade school

  • Strong mechanical aptitude and comfort using tools

  • Ability to work independently or on a crew

  • Reliable transportation and valid drivers license

  • Willingness to work in varying job site environments across the Denver metro area

Preferred (but not required):

  • Welding experience (MIG TIG or Stick)

  • Experience with fire-rated openings or Division 8 materials

  • Ability to read door and hardware schedules

  • Familiarity with access control prep or adjustments

Additional Info

  • This is a field-based role with potential for transition to a shop position (optional)

  • Occasional overtime or weekend work may be needed depending on project timelines
