Dungeons & Dragons Instructor (Hiawatha Community Center)
The Dungeons & Dragons Instructor at Hiawatha Community Center will lead youth between the ages of 8-12 in learning the tabletop roleplay game of Dungeons and Dragons. Objectives include learning the basics of the rules and gameplay understanding cooperative storytelling and exercising problem-solving. This is a year-round part-time role.

Pay Rate:
Starting Pay: $26.50 - 28.50/hr.
Full Pay Range: $26.50-36.50/hr(employee may earn up to $46.50/hr with continued employment)
Dungeons & Dragons Instructor Requirements
- Develop and deliver developmentally appropriate camp lesson plans and activities for ages 8-12.
- Plan lead implement and run age-appropriate mini campaigns and games for the D&D camp focusing on the cooperation and problem-solving.
- Instructors are expected to program their camps with support from the facility recreation coordinator.
- Prepare a weekly calendar of activities.
- Daily set-up take down and cleaning of space.
- Generate supply lists for each camp; there will be class supply funds available.
- Complete required administrative reports such as attendance and activity logs accident/incident reports hot sheets and evaluations.
- Attend all required meetings and trainings.
Dungeons & Dragons Instructor Requirements
- Must be at least 18 years of age.
- At least two years experience planning and supervising recreational programs and/or educational activities for children.
- Experience building lesson plans and leading and managing a classroom of participants.
- Must have demonstrated working experience working with families community members and partners to foster positive relationships.
