Job Description
Clinical Pharmacist Specialty Infusion Pharmacy
We are seeking an experienced Clinical Pharmacist to join our specialty infusion pharmacy team. This role provides clinical oversight patient counseling and safe preparation/dispensing of complex infusion therapies ensuring optimal patient outcomes.
Responsibilities:
Review/verify infusion prescriptions for accuracy and appropriateness.
Oversee sterile compounding per USP <797> and <800> standards.
Counsel patients/caregivers on infusion therapy side effects storage and handling.
Monitor labs therapy response and adjust per protocols.
Collaborate with prescribers nurses and case managers to coordinate care.
Ensure compliance with state/federal regulations and accreditation standards.
Qualifications:
PharmD or BS Pharmacy; active state pharmacist license (additional licenses a plus).
2 years pharmacy experience with at least 1 year in specialty or infusion.
Knowledge of sterile compounding biologics IVIg and high-cost specialty medications.
Excellent communication and clinical problem-solving skills.
