Job Description
Burrow Global is hiring. We are looking for a Sr. Project Controls Specialist
The Sr. Project Controls Specialist will help with overseeing all aspects of project controls including planning scheduling cost control risk management and reporting. The incumbent will ensure that projects are delivered on time within budget and in alignment with company objectives and client expectations. This role collaborates closely with project managers finance teams and stakeholders to support informed decision-making throughout the project lifecycle.
Key Responsibilities:
- Planning & Scheduling:
- Develop and maintain detailed project schedules using tools like Primavera P6 or MS Project.
- Integrate schedule and cost data to provide consistent and timely project reporting.
- Monitor project milestones and progress to ensure alignment with goals.
- Cost Control & Budgeting:
- Establish project budgets in coordination with project managers and finance.
- Track expenditures and forecasts; analyze variances and recommend corrective actions.
- Manage cost reporting and ensure financial health of projects.
- Risk Management:
- Identify potential project risks and develop mitigation strategies.
- Maintain and update project risk registers and conduct regular risk reviews.
- Performance Measurement & Reporting:
- Implement Earned Value Management (EVM) systems and practices.
- Generate periodic reports (weekly/monthly) for stakeholders and executive teams.
- Provide analysis of project KPIs including cost performance index (CPI) schedule performance index (SPI) and other key indicators.
- Team Leadership & Collaboration:
- Lead a team of planners schedulers and cost analysts.
- Collaborate with project teams contractors and clients to ensure transparency and coordination.
- Train and mentor staff in project control processes and tools.
- Tools & Systems:
- Utilize and manage project controls software such as Primavera P6 MS Project SAP Oracle or other ERP systems.
- Ensure data integrity and consistency across systems and platforms.
Qualifications:
- Bachelors degree in engineering Construction Management Finance or related field.
- 7 years of experience in project controls including leadership roles.
- Proficiency in scheduling and cost control software (Primavera P6 MS Project Excel etc.).
- Strong knowledge of project management methodologies and Earned Value Management (EVM).
- Excellent analytical organizational and communication skills.
- Experience with Instrumentation and Controls construction projects is highly desired.
