As the Talent Acquisition Manager you will lead a team responsible for drivingequitableand effective employment practices across SPU. Key responsibilities include:
People Management
Supervise a team of 10 regular staff and up to 5 temporary or out-of-class employees
Providedaily guidance coaching and support to ensure operationalsuccess
Ensure SPU positions are filled ina timely transparent andequitablemanner
Oversee the classification and compensation processes to ensure accuracy and compliance
Continuous Improvement
Evaluate current employment-related programs including recruiting staffing internships apprenticeships classification and compensation
Lead efforts to incorporate workforce and succession planning into broader HR strategies
Develop tools and methods to track key performance metrics
Use data-driven insights to implement improvements and assess the effectiveness of employment programs
Align improvements with industry best practices and SPUs equity goals
Strategic Collaboration
Partner with SPU People Leaders to understand hiring needs and develop talent solutions
Coordinate with City of Seattle departments and HR partners to align on citywide talent strategies
Promote inclusive hiring practices that support workforce diversity and long-term retention
Serve as a trusted advisor to leadership on matters related to staffing and workforce development

Experience:Five (5) years of progressively responsible experience in Human Resources to includefull-cyclerecruiting experience. This should include at least two (2) years of supervisory experience anddemonstratedleadership/management skills with the proven ability to maximize performance.
AND
Education:BachelorsDegreein Business AdministrationHuman ResourcesCommunicationsorarelated field or equivalent experience.
Experience/Education Equivalency:In lieu of aBachelors Degreein an accredited program a total ofseven (7)years of relevant work experience will be considered equivalent. Additionally there is no substitute for the required supervisory experience.
Desired Qualifications:
Leadership: Experience in managing and leading employees through change managementandcontinuous improvementto drive organizational growth.
Human Resources Programs: Experience in the fulllife-cycleof a recruitment processthrough best practicesand be knowledgeable of various recruitment tools.
Collaboration: Be able to build relationships and work with a wide variety of stakeholders.
Communication: Experience inclear andeffectivecommunicationwith your team and customers.
Adaptability: Experience navigating a changing environment. Being able to beadaptableflexibleand attuned to the workplace environment.
Certification/License:Washington State Drivers License isor an equivalent mode to visit SPU and other locations in the region.
Work Environment:Work is performed in an office environment.
This position allows for the flexibility of a hybrid work schedule. Effective January 2025 City employeesmayhave theoptionto work remotely two days per week. Individual schedules will be agreed upon by the employee and their supervisor.

The full salary range for this position is:$54.60 - $81.93 Hourly ($114004.80 - $171069.84 Annually)
