Job Description
School of Visual Arts and Design:
At the UCF School of Visual Arts and Design we immerse our students in an environment that celebrates the fusion of traditional and contemporary art and design forms. Our mission is to harness the power of art to engage the senses ignite the imagination and inspire creativity across diverse mediums.
The Opportunity:
UCF School of Visual Arts and Design seeks applications for multiple part-time openings for Figure Model positions to support the Studio Art and Emerging Media programs. Figure models are a primary subject used in all levels of drawing courses including foundations intermediate advanced and graduate courses. Models work under the direction of faculty to create poses appropriate for each class ranging from quick poses for gesture drawings to long poses lasting for the duration of the class session.
Classes that require figure drawing rely heavily on the model so punctuality and preparedness are essential. Models are expected to hold a variety of poses including standing seated and reclining for reasonable periods of time to allow students to accurately capture the figure.
Personal cleanliness is expected but no specific grooming standards are required. Models of all genders ages and body types are encouraged to apply as our students benefit from studying a wide range of human forms. Models should be comfortable being observed in a classroom setting and able to remain quiet and focused during sessions.

Classification Title: Arts Technician I
Responsibilities:
Pose for drawing and painting classes as directed by faculty.
Maintain stillness and composure during poses including extended sessions.
Models will be scheduled in advance and expected to arrive promptly for scheduled sessions.
Collaborate respectfully with faculty and students in a classroom setting.
Minimum Qualifications:
High School Diploma or Equivalent and 0 years of relevant experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience pursuant to Fla. Stat. 112.219(6). Click here for more information
Preferred Qualifications:
Prior experience modeling for art classes.
Interest in the arts or humanities.
Punctuality reliability and a positive attitude.
