Job Description

Job Description:This person will work at a 125-person plant that makes specialty chemicals (among other things). The parent company has been putting a lot of money into this facility as of late with many capital and infrastructure projects currently on-going and in the planning stages. A portion of those projects are related to the controls and instrumentation systems they will be expanding and updating the PLC control systems on site and implementing advanced process control strategies. Part of that work will include writing SOPs and training operators on new HMIs and control strategies. This person will also support other facilities as needed.Minimum Requirements:
  • B.S. degree in Engineering preferably in Electrical Chemical or Automation Engineering
  • 2 years of post-college industry experience ideally out of chemicals refining or something closely related
  • Must have a background in programming and troubleshooting of Allen Bradley PLC Redlion HMI or equivalent
  • Must have some experience with SCADA software (preferable Wonderware) experience
  • An ideal candidate would have experience with panel building and Factory Acceptance Testing (FAT)
  • VFD programming experience is a big plus
  • Should be able to create electrical drawings and P&IDs in AutoCAD
