Job Description
ROLE REQUIREMENTS:
LEAD:
- NDT inspections (VT MT PT CRI etc.)
- Develop/Approve NDT procedures training material and testing material
- Maintain NDT personnel certifications & associated documentation
- Review and interpret radiographic film and reports
- Notify supervisors and other personnel of quality problem(s) and assist in identifying and correcting those concerns
- Train coach and mentor assistants technicians and trainers in quality workmanship and best practices
- Verify and support safety requirements compliance
COORDINATE:
- NDT inspection planning/scheduling; in-house and 3rd party
- Team growth and training
- Maintain and improve product quality by collaborating with other team members to develop new process designs manufacturing and training methods
SUPPORT:
- Review and approval of WPS and WPQ
- Assist with review of contract requirements and vendor/contractor requirements
- Collecting and compiling relevant quality statistical data
- Assist with inspection activities as needed
- Assist with training needs including leading or co-facilitating training classes as needed regarding quality procedures and processes
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
- ASNT Level III: VT PT & MT
- AWS C.W.I.
- AWS C.R.I.
- Bachelors degree in Engineering is preferred or a minimum of 5 years experience as an ANST Level III.
- Strong background in fabrication equipment and techniques
- Must be able to pass an ITAR-grade background check.
- Understands value of time and materials.
- Effective problem-solving skills
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
- Ability to walk or stand for long periods lift to 50 pounds stoop climb and use ladders to perform various inspection tasks and studies.
- Handling and moving objects- Using hands and arms inhandling positioning and moving materials
- Must be able to stand squat bend crawl reach
WORK ENVIRONMENT:
Manufacturing environment: May be exposed to loud noises changing temperatures machinery with moving parts and exotic materials.
ITAR RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Adhere to and abide by all ITAR-specific job standards and training. Protect and properly safeguard ITAR-sensitive information and work product; ensure dissemination or disclosure of and access to protected data occurs only with those trained and approved for exposure to ITAR content.
- IMMEDIATELY notify Supervisor/Manager Human Resources Legal (email: ) or the Samuel Ethics Alert Hotline of known or suspected unauthorized disclosure release of or access to protected ITAR content.
