- Monitor toddlers at all times to ensure safety and well-being.
- Assist with transitions between activities (e.g. arrival meals naps).
- Maintain appropriate child-to-teacher ratios according to licensing rules.
- Ensure a safe and clean environment both indoors and outdoors.
- Help with diapering toilet training handwashing and hygiene routines.
- Assist with dressing and undressing (e.g. for outdoor play or accidents).
- Support toddlers during meals and snacks (e.g. setting up feeding cleaning up).
- Provide comfort and consistency during nap/rest time.
- Engage toddlers in developmentally appropriate activities like:
- Storytime and songs
- Art and sensory play
- Simple puzzles and toys
- Gross motor activities (e.g. dancing climbing ball play)
- Storytime and songs
- Support social emotional and language development through interaction and modeling.
