Ideal candidates will have at least 2 years of related experience. This position requires excellent teamwork and dependability. Essential Job Responsibilities: - Acquires and demonstrates knowledge of the cleaning and sterilization of surgical instruments and supplies for the surgical suite under the supervision of the OR manager.
- Assists in maintaining a safe working environment within Infection Control AORN and AAMI guidelines.
- Performs procedures for the care preparation packaging sterilization and storage of instruments and supplies according to written procedures and guidelines.
- Distributes operating room instruments supplies and equipment within the operating room according to par levels and needs.
- Maintains knowledge of Biological Challenges to sterilization processes and demonstrates competency in use and documentation
- Maintains standards of stock rotation.
- Attends in-service educational offerings.
- Performs necessary errands throughout the center.
- Responds to routine requests.
- Complies with all our processes and HIPAA regulations.
- Applies our values in decision-making and interactions with all individuals.
- Promotes a positive work environment through effective teamwork.
- Other duties as assigned by changing needs patient flow or physician request
