We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Business Development Director to lead our strategic expansion efforts. This high-impact role is responsible for identifying evaluating and executing dental practice acquisitions affiliations and partnership opportunities. The Business Development Director will play a key role in shaping the future of our organization and will report directly to the Cherry Tree Dental President and serve as a member of the organizations leadership team.
**This role can be primarily work from home but will need to work in our Madison WI office periodically therefore candidates should be within a reasonable driving distance to Madison addition travel is anticipated to be a minimum of 50% based on business needs.**
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and execute strategic plans to identify and target new dental practice acquisition opportunities in key markets.
- Analyze market trends competitor activity and emerging opportunities in the DSO space.
- Establish and maintain relationships with dental practice owners brokers consultants and other industry stakeholders.
- Proactively identify and engage potential acquisition targets through networking outreach campaigns and industry events.
- Collaborate with finance and operations teams to assess the financial viability clinical quality and cultural fit of prospective practices.
- Support the development of valuation models and deal structures in alignment with organizational goals.
- Lead the due diligence process in collaboration with legal clinical finance and compliance team.
- Manage all aspects of deal negotiation and closing in partnership with Cherry Tree Dental leadership team.
- Work closely with executive leadership board of directors and other key stakeholders to align growth initiativeswith broader company strategy.
- Partner with marketing operations and other teams to ensure seamless onboarding of new practices.
What Were Looking For:
- Bachelors degree in Business Healthcare Administration Finance or related field.
- 7-years of experience in business development M&A or strategic partnerships preferably within the dental or healthcare industry.
- Demonstrated track record of successful deal sourcing and execution.
- Strong understanding of dental practice operations and DSO business models.
- Excellent communication negotiation and relationship-building skills.
- High level of professionalism integrity and discretion.
